(first)giving geeks gather to do good (socially)

Firstgiving was proud to co-sponsor the 11th installment of Boston’s Social Media Breakfast, fittingly themed “Social Media for Social Change” this week.  We joined co-sponsor marketwire at Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge for presentations and a panel discussion by Social Media for Social Change founder Gradon Tripp, Firstgiving COO Frank Days, and globetrotting non-profit consultant Beth Kanter.

You can see Beth’s presentations and a video of Gradon’s talk on Beth’s blog, and you can find Frank’s presentation on his blog.  In addition to great discussion and presentations, the morning’s event gathered cans of food for the the Greater Boston Food Bank (you can also donate to GBFB through one of their Firstgiving pages) and Tyson Foods pledged pounds of protein for each comment on its blog.
