April and May FirstGiving free webinars

Join us in April and May for our monthly FirstGiving webinars. We offer free webinars  on the third Thursday of the month from 1pm to 2pm EST/ 10am to 11am PST, unless otherwise noted. Each webinar offers forty-five minutes of valued-added content to help your nonprofit better connect with donors and stakeholders. All of our webinars are free of charge, and we leave plenty of time to answer questions during the webinar.

Prior webinars have covered creating a social media engagement strategy, understanding donor behavior (FirstGiving research), race fundraising benchmarking (FirstGiving research), and Facebook social sharing plugins. Each webinar is recorded, and the recording and slides area available for view after the webinar. You may view and download previous webinars here.

Our April 21st webinar is “The New Ecology of Online Giving.” It is an overview of how online giving works, online giving options on a website and off-site, social media fundraising, and where we think the field is heading. We will cover all aspects of online fundraising, including options not offered by FirstGiving.

Our May 19th webinar is “Location-Based Marketing for Nonprofits 101.” It is an overview of what location-based marketing is, the different location-based services available, what they each have to offer nonprofits, and how to use them for awareness and/or fundraising. Estrella Rosenberg, founder of the organization Big Love Little Hearts and Host of 501 Mission Place, has used location-based marketing successfully to garner awareness and funds for her nonprofit organization. She’ll share her knowledge and insights about the different services available during the webinar.
