Between 2007-2010, we found a significant gender gap in our donor population and that in fact, women donate more often than men. However, when men do donate, they do so in larger sums. Across many metrics, the same gender gap is prevalent.

Did you know?

  • Women make 64% of all online event donations, whereas men only comprise of 36%.
  • Women make 66% of all direct online donations through FirstGiving while men only 34%.
  • The average female event donation is $44.41 while a male’s is $59.75.
  • The average female direct donation is $83.53 while a male’s is $131.10.
