Grey’s Anatomy Star Fundraises for Save the Children

Grey’s Anatomy’s Kevin McKidd is participating in a Fast-A-Thon today to support Save the Children’s efforts to aid those affected by famine and drought in East Africa. Thousands of children in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia are at risk due to severe food shortages and Kevin is doing his part to raise awareness.

You can help Kevin and those affected by making a donation to his fundraising page. If you feel inspired, you can join him and ask your friends and family to support you in your own Fast-A-Thon today. Here are just a few ideas how you can help:

  • Pledge to Fast: Skip your favorite snack and donate what you would have spent on that treat to Save the Children. Just $1 can feed a child for a day.
  • Pledge to Friendraise: Skip a meal and donate to Save the Children. The $5 you would have spent on your meal can help feel a child for 5 days.
  • Pledge to Fundraise: Skip a day’s worth of food. Ask your friends and family to donate $1 for each hour you go without eating. If you can raise $100, Save the Children will be able to feed a child for 100 days.
