May awareness month

It’s warming up here in the Northeast (we hope), and we’ve put together a list of ideas to help you raise money online this month for the causes you care about. Firstgiving provides an online fundraising platform so that you can raise money online at any time for any U.S. non-profit organization, but this list can help you get started.
In addition to all the important causes highlighted this month and all the non-profit organizations hard at work raising money and awareness (see below), we have a particular affinity for the month of May because it’s a month of celebrating moustaches. We’ve got a few here in our office, most notably this one:

- National Neurofibromatosis Month Neurofibromatosis Inc. (over $20,000 raised online!)
- Hepatitis Awareness Month Hepatitis Education Project
- Lyme Disease Awareness Month Lyme Disease Foundation
We hear it’s also National Salad Month, National Egg Month, National Barbeque Month, and National Hamburger Month, which makes us feel. . . hungry.
