Manage your social media

These four social media management platforms are a simple and organized way to manage your Facebook and Twitter account in one place. These platforms are more directed at managing your Twitter account, which can seem like a daunting task. But, with tools like HootSuite, you are able to schedule tweets, post retweets, message your followers, and respond to any mentions all in one place.

You can also monitor larger conversations based on hashtags like #nonprofit, #fundraising, or #nptech and add your 2 cents in as well by including these hashtags in your tweets.

1. HootSuite allows you to set up your Twitter account, and monitor your mentions, retweets, posts and any nonprofit hashtags you would like to follow, as well as schedule unlimited tweets in advance.

2. TweetDeck, which is owned by Twitter, is another social media management tool. As you’ve noticed and will continue to do so on your hunt, most social management tools look and feel the same way. It’s the details that set them apart.

3. Seesmic is another popular tool. Seesmic has the usual bells and whistles but what separates this tool from the others is its contact list manager. This feature is unique to this platform. It also allows you to manage your Facebook page more effectively than the above options.

4. Buffer App has been gaining a lot of positive attention these days. Though it doesn’t have the column interface other platforms have, Buffer makes social media scheduling incredibly easy. Many use Buffer in addition the above platforms. We personally like to think of this app as a way to space out non scheduled tweets. If you have a lot of posts you’re looking to retweet but don’t want to bombard your followers with too much content, then this is the app for you. Buffer helps spread those retweets out in predetermined intervals.
