Nonprofit pep talk

Do you have 12 minutes for a pep-talk?  Check out Regent University’s Leadership Talk of the month, “Fundraising in a Recession.”

If you work for an NPO, this is a great resource!  With brevity and articulation, fundraising coach Marc Pitman explains the 3 most common pitfalls for non-profits (and how to avoid them):

  • Spending less on fundraising–make wise investments instead.
  • Becoming pessimistic–the most successful fundraisers see the glass as full.
  • Apologizing for asking for support–don’t do it!  Your services are needed now more than ever, and people will continue to give because they want to make a difference.
