It is never to soon to start thinking about next years event. The sooner you have the event posted on FirstGiving the sooner you will have fundraisers creating pages and generating donations. Use your list of fundraisers from last years event and send out an informative email letting them know the date and time of the upcoming event. Don’t forget to encourage them to send the email around to friends and family. This is a great way to grow your event. Your fundraisers friends and family might turn into fundraisers of their own.
Another great way to spark enthusiasm around your event is to host a kick off meeting. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just a place were event participants can socialize with each other. Be sure to invite all of your fundraisers and offer some tips or examples outstanding fundraising. A kick off meeting will really get your participants pumped up ready for the event and ready to fundraise. To get some kick off materials that we provide click here.
